Introducing the Festival

Welcome to the Launch Weekend! Here is this Sunday mornings show:

The radio will be going live again from 3pm today on Sunday. For now you can listen to the podcast of the launch event, and we’ll be uploading podcasts of the performances in and around Finsbury Parks growing spaces and cafés in the coming days.

Scroll to around 83 minutes, for the live event from Vagabond’s cafe!

Introducing the Festival

This will be the first weekend event of the Festival of Mint, where we are launching the Mint Radio, spreading the word to growers, cafes and the Finsbury Park community. Within the historical context of the area we will also have a hot air balloon launch, or an attempt at least :)

From the 12 to the 14 of October, six talented artists will be going around, popping in different venues cheering you up with some great songs and a hot cup of fresh mint tea, promising to warm up your heart and soul and chase away t

he blues of the cold weather, that seems to have arrived for good!

The green house will be open all weekend with cycle cinema, the radio studio, and of course lots of music, interviews and discussions with growers. On Saturday we are planning a feast so do drop by and bring some food while you watch some short movies, listen to the radio shows and live acts. On Sunday, join the balloon launch while enjoying the Farewell Zambercari radio show, Class War Games and the discussion about the Blackstock Greenhouse

If you are unable to join us in person, don’t let that put you off, all events will be broadcast online through the Mint Radio.

So tune in and happy minting!
